Rain Detection works more subtly: it registers the rising level of moisture on a surface, but does not generate an alarm, which works well, for example, on terraces or under canopies. It does not require any wiring and can be placed where there is no access to an outlet - for example, under kitchen cabinets, in cabinets, near pipes or in utility rooms.
