Apžvalga God of War III Remastered naujam gyvenimui prikels epines kovas, kurių grafika ir siužetas nukels Kratos į skerdynių ir naikinimo epicentrą, čia jis atsidurs siekdamas keršto dievams, kurie jį išdavė. Žaidimo veiksmas vyksta brutalioje, graikų mitologijos motyvais persmelktoje, realybėje. God of War III Remastered – tai kritikų pripažinimo susilaukęs, vieno asmens rėžimo žaidimas, kuris žaidėjams suteikia galybę valdyti bebaimį herojų Kratos, kuris yra buvęs Spartos karys, tačiau dabar jis pakilo iš tamsiausių Hado gelmių ir naršydamas kiekvieną Olimpo kalno lopinėlį, sieks keršto tiems, kurie jį išdavė. Apsiginklavęs dvigubų ašmenų ginklu, krūva naujų ginklų ir burtų, jis turės įveikti mirtinus ir nuožmius mitologinius padarus, bei spręsti įvairius galvosūkius, visa tai jis turės padaryti siekdamas savo negailestingo tikslo – Olimpo sunaikinimo.
