Pagrindiniame „Marvel Zombies - A Zombicide Game“ žaidime žaidėjai bando išplatinti zombių ligą, o čia jie imasi tradiciškesnių „Zombicide“ frančizės išlikusiųjų vaidmenų ir kovoja su nemirtingųjų antpuoliu.

"Hive" - tai apdovanojimus pelnęs stalo žaidimas, kuris skiriasi nuo kitų. Čia nėra lentos. Figūrėlės sudedamos į žaidimo lauką ir taip sukuriama lenta. Kai pridedama vis daugiau ir daugiau figūrų, žaidimas virsta kova, kas pirmas sugaus priešininkų bičių karalienę. Skruzdėlės kareiviai kovoja, kad išlaikytų avilio išorę, o vabalai lipa aukštyn, kad užvaldytų viršų. Vorai užima laikinąsias pozicijas, o žolės skėriai puola žudyti. Viena akimi stebėdami avilį, kita - priešininkų atsargas, įtampa auga, nes dėl vieno neteisingo judesio jūsų bičių karalienė bus greitai praryta; .... žaidimas baigtas!

Vabalas vienu metu juda po vieną langelį, bet taip pat turi specialią gebą, kurią gali naudoti vietoj judėjimo ir kuri leidžia jam perkelti gretimą figūrėlę (draugišką ar priešišką) į kitą tuščią langelį, esantį greta jo. Dėl šio specialaus gebėjimo Pillbug gali tapti grėsmingu gynybiniu ir puolimo vabalu. Tai yra išplėtimas. Norint žaisti, reikia turėti standartinio "Hive" stalo žaidimo kopiją.

Boružėlė yra universalus avilio vabalas. Jis juda aukštyn per kitas figūrėles ir žemyn į neužimtas vietas.
